Developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1995 as the first nationwide energy-efficiency initiative, this program has grown substantially throughout the country. Celebration Contracting has built over 40 homes that meet or exceed the standards of the program.
When a builder completes the Environmental Protection Agency’s rigorous requirements for new home construction, the home is designated as ‘Built Better from the Ground Up’ – everything has been checked and verified through an inspection process that goes miles beyond typical home inspections.
Energy Star Video: Better is Better
Certified Energy Star homes almost always save consumers money.
Homes that earn the EPA’s Energy Star label use 15-30% less energy than a typical new home, save thousands of dollars annually, and deliver better comfort, quality and durability.
To this day, 100% of the construction we undertake exceeds the State’s building code and is in accordance with the latest, most stringent Energy Star version 3.0 requirements. On behalf of all of our customers living in certified Energy Star homes, we are pleased with the results we have been able to achieve.
We encourage homeowners to visit the website, energystar.gov, for a wealth of information on a wide range of topics related to saving energy such as Energy Star partners, products and appliances.
