After a career in advertising, marketing and strategic planning, Alicia joined forces with Bill to co-found a design/build company committed to the adoption and creation of high performance and energy efficiency with a specialty in passive house and zero net energy. Their firm has received multiple Home Builder Industry Awards (HOBI’s) and was selected in 2016 as the Grand Prize Winner of Energize CT’s Zero Energy Challenge. Most recently, their own Zero Energy Passive House received a Merit Award in CT Green Building Council’s 2020 Green Building Awards and was selected by Green Builder magazine as one of their 2021 Green Homes of the Year.
Spreading awareness and educating people about high performance building and Passive House is a priority for Alicia. She was thrilled to be chosen as the recipient of the Connecticut Green Building Council’s Judy Swan Green Advocate Award in 2017. More recently, she has expanded her efforts to challenge conventional thinking about how we design & build multifamily buildings, especially for our most vulnerable populations.
Alicia is also proud to be a founding board member of the organization, Connecticut Passive House (CTPH). In 2019, she was hired as the Executive Director of the Connecticut Green Building Council (CTGBC), a position that has enabled her to promote better buildings for people and planet.
